Οι The Organ σχηματίστηκαν το 2001 από την Katie
Sketch και πολύ γρήγορα κέρδισαν δημοτικότητα με την κυκλοφορία του
πρώτου τους ep "Sinking Hearts". To 2003 υπέγραψαν συμβόλαιο με τις
Μint και 604 Records και στις 25 Μαίου 2004 κυκλοφόρησαν το πρώτο τους
album "Grab That Gun" το οποίο έμελλε να είναι και μοναδικό τους.

Οι
λόγοι που οδήγησαν στην διάλυση δεν έγιναν γνωστοί, μιας και όπως
δήλωσε η οργανίστρια Jenny Smyth στο CBC Radio3: "There were so many
reasons I wouldn't know where to start."
