 Μετά από 30 χρόνια ξανά μαζί ο Vince Clarke και ο Martin L. Gore των Depeche Mode. Το νέο τους project λέγεται τελικά VCMG από τα αρχικά των ονομάτων τους, είναι εξ ολοκλήρου ηλεκτρονικό και στον χώρο της techno / dance σκηνής, αν και τα κλασσικά DM / Yazoo basslines του Vince αναγνωρίζονται εύκολα στο πρώτο τους κιόλας EP. Τίτλος του θα είναι EP1 / Spock, κυκλοφορεί τον Δεκέμβριο με αρκετά remixes, ενώ το album αναμένεται την άνοιξη του 2012...
Μερικές δηλώσεις των 2 μουσικών για τη νέα συνεργασία τους, το tracklist και το εξώφυλλο του πρώτου τους EP, ενώ κάποια μικρά δείγματα μπορείτε να ακούσετε στο amazon.
Vince Clarke: "I've been getting into and listening to a lot of
minimal dance music and I got really intrigued by all the sounds... I
realised I needed a collaborator... so it occurred to me to talk to
Martin."
Martin Gore: "Out of the blue I got an e-mail from Vince just saying,
'I'm interested in making a techno album. Are you interested in
collaborating?' This was  maybe a year ago. He said, 'No pressure, no
deadlines,' so I said, 'OK'."
