 Είχαμε ακούσει 2 από τα καινούρια του τραγούδια στην τελευταία του συναυλία στο Gagarin και μας άνοιξε η όρεξη. Στις 7 Ιουνίου κυκλοφορεί επιτέλους το νέο album του Marc Almond, το πρώτο με καινούρια δικά του τραγούδια μετά από 9 χρόνια . Όπως έχουμε ξαναπεί, ο δίσκος λέγεται 'Varieté' την παραγωγή έχει κάνει ο ίδιος ο Almond (σε 3 τραγούδια συνεργάζεται με τον Tris Penna) και θα βγει από την Cherry Red, αρχικά σε limited έκδοση με bonus ακουστικό cd...
Ο Marc Almond περιγράφει το album ως πολύ προσωπικό και δήλωσε σχετικά: "This is a personal record of my own life, and the decades I've grown
through : born in the 1950's, a child of the 60's, a troubled teen of
the 70's, a star of the 80's, a casuality of the 90's, an actual road
casuality in the new millenium, and from it a rehabilitated and
re-invented sense of self..."
Δεν τον έχουμε ακούσει ακόμα, αλλά ξέρουμε ότι έχει δυνατότητες και ταλέντο, οπότε ελπίζουμε αυτή τη φορά να μας εκπλήξει ευχάριστα. Artwork, tracklist και μια live εκτέλεση του bread & circus στο video παρακάτω:
